Who we are
Pobbo ("we", "us") is an app made by an independent developer. Questions about privacy: support@getpobbo.com.
What we collect, and why
Your account
You start Pobbo with Sign in with Apple. We receive the stable, anonymous ID Apple gives you for Pobbo, and create an account with it. We do not request your name, email or phone number. Your buddy's looks are worked out from this ID, so the same Apple ID always meets the same buddy.
Approximate location
To show the real weather, your device turns its location into a grid cell about 5 km across, or uses the city you choose, and sends only that cell to us. We never receive or store your precise location.
Your buddy and friends
Your buddy's name and looks, how you arrange its home, the items you have unlocked, your friends list, visits and greetings, and the notes your buddy writes along with your replies. Friends see only your buddy (its name and looks) and its visits, never who you are.
Device information
Your push notification token, time zone, app version and language, so notes and widget updates arrive at the right time in the right language.
Purchases
Apple processes all payments. We receive transaction and subscription information from Apple to unlock what you bought. We never see your payment details.
What stays on your device
- Calendar events (used for "rain before you leave" and evening previews)
- Health data: only your daily step count, and only if you allow it. The day's total is sent to our server so your steps can turn into coins; nothing else from Health is read. It is never used for advertising, never shared, and never stored in iCloud
- Your precise location
You can turn each of these off in the app (More, then "What your buddy knows"), and the app forgets what it derived from them.
Keeping the phone quiet while focusing
If you turn it on, Pobbo uses Apple's Screen Time to keep the apps you choose closed while you focus. The apps you choose and how long you use them stay on your iPhone; Pobbo never sees which apps they are.
What we don't do
No advertising. No tracking across apps or websites. No data brokers. No selling or sharing of personal information. No third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
Service providers
- Cloudflare runs our servers, database and file storage
- Apple delivers notifications, provides Sign in with Apple, weather data (WeatherKit, which receives only the ~5 km cell), and the App Store
They process data only on our behalf. Data may be processed in countries other than yours; we rely on our providers' standard safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account in the app (More, then Account, then Delete Account), it is removed after 24 hours (a window to undo a mistake), and backups are overwritten within 30 days. We also revoke Pobbo's access to your Apple ID.
Your rights
You can see and change most of your data in the app, and delete all of it at any time. You can also email us to access or export your data, correct it, or ask any question. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have additional rights, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. We do not sell or "share" personal information as defined by California law.
Children
Pobbo is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.

伙伴的名字和样子、家里怎么布置、解锁的物品、朋友列表、串门和打招呼记录，伙伴写的留言和你的回应，以及第一次聊天时你给的两个回答（你的日子大多怎么过、你是早起还是夜猫子），伙伴的留言会提到它们。朋友只能看到你的伙伴（名字和样子）和它的串门，永远看不到你是谁。
设备信息
推送通知的令牌、时区、App 版本和语言，用来让留言和小组件在正确的时间、用正确的语言送到。
购买
所有付款由 Apple 处理。我们从 Apple 收到交易和订阅信息，用来解锁你买下的内容。我们看不到你的任何付款信息。
只留在你设备上的
- 日历里的日程（用于"出门前会下雨"和晚间预告）
- 健康数据：只有每天的步数，只在你允许后读取。每天的步数总数会发到我们的服务器，用来换成金币；健康里的其他数据都不读。不用于广告，不分享给任何人，不存进 iCloud
- 你的精确位置
每一项都可以在 App 里关掉（更多 → 伙伴知道什么），关掉后 App 会忘记由它得出的内容。
专注时管住手机
如果你打开它，Pobbo 会用 Apple 的屏幕使用时间，在专注时把你选的 App 关上。你选了哪些 App、用了多久，都只留在你的 iPhone 上，Pobbo 看不到。
我们不做的事
没有广告。不做跨 App 或跨网站的追踪。不和数据经纪商合作。不出售、不共享个人信息。不接任何第三方分析或崩溃统计工具。
服务提供方
- Cloudflare：运行我们的服务器、数据库和文件存储
- Apple：推送通知、通过 Apple 登录、天气数据（WeatherKit，只会收到约 5 公里的格子）以及 App Store
它们只代表我们处理数据。数据可能在你所在国家或地区以外处理，我们依靠服务提供方的标准保护措施进行跨境传输。
保存多久
账户存在期间我们会保存你的数据。你在 App 里删除账户（更多 → 账户 → 删除账户）后，数据会在 24 小时后删除（留一个撤销误操作的窗口），备份会在 30 天内被覆盖。我们也会撤销 Pobbo 对你 Apple ID 的授权。
你的权利
你可以在 App 里查看和修改大部分数据，也可以随时全部删除。你也可以发邮件给我们，要求查看或导出你的数据、更正数据，或者询问任何问题。根据你所在的地区（例如欧盟、英国、加州），你可能还有其他权利，也可以向当地的数据保护机构投诉。
儿童
